The Hometown Scholarship Program, presented by local Dodge Dealers including Elder Chrysler Jeep Dodge along with Brownsboro Band Boosters announces the launch of the 2007 charity fundraising campaign that generates scholarship funds for high school band students.

From September 17th through November 2nd, band and booster members will be selling tickets at the home football games. For a $5.00 suggested donation individuals may register to win a 2008 Dodge Mega Cab truck and will receive a voucher to receive a complimentary T-shirt at Elder Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Athens. The Hometown Scholarship Program is part of Elder Dodge's continuing commitment to the hometown community.

All citizens of Brownsboro and Chandler are encouraged to support this worthwhile program. One-hundred percent of the funds raised during this campaign go to fund scholarship and leadership development programs within the Brownsboro Band Program.

According to Laurie Maddox, Band Booster President, "This program benefits students from 6th-12th grades by allowing funds to be made available for senior scholarships, private lessons, and other educational activities pursued by band students. Band Boosters would like to thank Hayden Elder and Elder Chrysler Jeep Dodge for sponsoring our band program through this scholarship campaign. "

Now celebrating its fifth year, the Hometown Scholarship Program has raised more than $3.0 million for various high school organizations throughout the county. In 2007, the Hometown Scholarship Program hopes to raise more than $1.0 million nationally.
