Bears win offensive battle 40-36

Jon Jon Thompson, right, led the Bears in rushing
Following a typical Junior Varsity first half with the Bears leading 14-6 both the Bears and the Panthers could not be kept out of the endzone in the third quarter.

Westwood kicked things off in the third scoring on a five play drive beginning from the midfield stripe.

Brownsboro answered right back as Ryan Owens completed a 21 yard pass to Austin Adair before Jon Jon Thompson stole the show.

Thompson raced 40 yards for the Bears first touchdown of the second half giving the Bears a 20-14 lead after the missed two-point conversion.

After a Panther touchdown Thompson got the call again this time racing 60 yards for the go ahead score. Thompson converted the two-point conversion improving the Bears lead to 28-20.
