Everyone is welcome. Trinity Valley Community College Continuing Education will offer Fundamentals of Cake Decorating Beginning Sept. 27. The class will be led by Chef Simon Webster. Students will learn the basic art of icing a cake, how to make flower decorations, cake writing, sugar molds, roses and seasonal cakes. The classes will be at the Athens campus beginning Sept. 27 and ending Oct. 18. Classes will meet from 6-8 P.M. and tuition is $120. Look for signs. There will be lots of furniture, a bedroom set, livingroom furniture, occasional tables, 220 air conditioner, dishes, linens, pots and pans, large appliances, clothes ranging from infants to plus sizes, as well as items for men. Edom United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a free health fair Saturday, September 29 at 9 A.M. until 4 P.M. There will be blood screenings, blood pressure checks, and a blood drive. There will also be speakers concerning Medicare and Medicaid, as well as Cure for Care Givers. Ross Breast Center will be offering reduced costs for mammograms. Bring your guitar or your music trac and join us for an evening of fun, fellowship, and singing. The featured artist for this evening will be Victory Road. Come out and hear them sing. Faith Baptist Church will host a "Fifth Sunday Singing " on September 30, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. featuring the Digger Davis and Tombstone family band from Oakwood, Texas. All people over 50 are welcome to attend. The Chandler 4-H Club will begin meeting at its new date and location October 2 (1st Tuesday of each month), 7 P.M. at Faith Baptist Church, FM 315, Chandler. Gospel Concert!
