James "Jim" Jones

Memorial services for James Joseph "Jim" Jones, 46, Murchison, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center of Athens. Arrangements were under direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Athens.

Mr. Jones died Sept. 28, 2007, in Tyler.

He was born March 14, 1961 in Haskell, and moved to Dallas where he attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He served in the Marine Corps and returned to Dallas where he worked at Wendel Jones Construction Co. He also lived in Georgia and Florida. He moved to Henderson County in 1977 and worked for Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens.

Survivors include son, Justin Jones, Las Vegas, Nev.; parents, Wendel and Peggy Jones, Murchison; sister, Christie Ellison, Kaufman; brother, Russell Jones, Athens; nieces and nephews.
