Posey Payne Albritton

Services for Posey Payne Albritton, 78, Chandler, were held Friday, September 28, 2007, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Doug Anderson officiating.

A private burial was held at Prairie Point Cemetery, near Kerens, Texas, under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Albritton died Sep. 24, 2007 in Tyler, Texas. He was born March 28, 1929 in Kerens. He attended Kerens High School, Texas A&M University, and North Texas State University.

He was a 13-year resident of Chandler, was a member of Rose Heights Church of God. He worked as an oil and gas broker after serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

Survivors are his wife, Lu Jean Albritton, Chandler; sons, Stan Albritton, Bedford, Texas and Sid Albritton of Perry, OK; a daughter, Kathleen Galloway, Portland, OR; and 6 grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Howard Taliaferro, James Lehman, Boyce Templeton, Robert Baggett, Dick Jarrett, and Elgie Owens.
