BISD announces Energy Saver Award Winners

The Brownsboro "Energy Saver" Award winners have been selected for the spring semester. The award, Kevin McCarthy, director of operations and energy manager, said, includes a certificate and $25 in cash. It is given to one faculty member of each campus after each semester.

In order to be entered into the drawing, employees must remember to save energy by remembering to turn off unused equipment during closing time. McCarthy stated in the last five years of the award program's existence, the school has saved over $500,000 in energy costs.

Brownsboro Intermediate School - Shelly McGhee

Chandler Intermediate School - Ronda Cade

Junior High - Angela Wright

High School - Margie Shaver
