Bears open district play Friday in Brownsboro

Their record is one game better than at this time last season as the Brownsboro Bears enter District 14-3A play Friday night.

The 4-1 Bears will host the 4-1 Van Vandals with a scheduled kickoff time of 7:30pm in Brownsboro.

Last season the Bears won the District 14-3A title by defeating Van in Van. Overall the Bears finished 4-1 in district play last season with the only loss coming in Canton.

Coach John Settle has not defeated the Eagles as coach of Brownsboro. This season the Bears get their shot at Canton on October 26 in Brownsboro.

Brownsboro is tied for first in the district with Van and Bullard. Van's only loss this season was to Lindale.
