BJHS runs into tough Chapel Hill teams

The 7th grade "A" team held off the Chapel Hill Bulldogs last Tuesday night in Brownsboro for the only BJHS win of the week.

The Bears won 6-0 as Shelby Rogers connected with Ryan Chapman on a 30 yard touchdown pass for the game's only score.

Rogers passed for more than 100 yards and Taylor Beall led the team in receiving. Defensively Patrick McCarthy recovered a fumble and Patrick Herrington had an interception.

The 7th grade "B" team was held scoreless falling 12-0. Wyatt Bynum played well on offense for Brownsboro and Austin Cunningham, Zack Lackey and Aaron Cunningham all played well on defense.

Both 8th grade teams were shut out as the "A" team fell 22-0 and the "B" lost 20-0.

For the "A" team Keuntis Thompson had an interception and led the team in rushing. Will Spradley and Brett Conner also played well on defense.

While trailing 8-0 at the half the Bears could not hold off the undefeated Bulldogs. Cody Strickland led the Bears in receiving with 2 catches.

The "B" team was led on defense by Luke Migura with one interception and AJ Bell and Tyler Poe.

The BJHS teams will play on both Tuesday and Thursday nights The 7th grade will play on Tuesdays.
