Sunday Service: The Kidz Choir sang a special in the morning service. The choir which is under the direction of Nancy Hopson, meets each Wednesday night at 6:30. "What Does God Teach About Creation and Evolution, " was the title of the pastor's morning message which explained the Biblical case for creationism while providing a thorough, yet practical refutation of evolution. "Do Ghosts Exist?" was the title of the evening message in the continuing series entitled "The Spiritual War on Terror. "

Newest Member: We'd like to welcome Jerry McGhee to WLBC.

Fall Festival: On Wednesday, October 31st, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. This Christ centered alternative to Halloween will feature free food, games, prizes and fun.

Discipleship University: The following courses are currently being offered: "Living Beyond Yourself," by Beth Moore, taught by Cindy Pierce, 4:30 p.m. on Sundays; "His Girls," a study for teen girls, taught by Sherry Fuller, Sundays at 5:00 p.m. "Discerning the Voice of God," taught by Tanya Essary, on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. (this is a women's study); "Becoming a Contagious Christian," a 6-week study for men and women, taught by Dennis Melton begins Sunday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m.

Choir: "Bringing Christ Home" is the title of the Christmas musical. The celebration choir practices on it Wednesday evenings at 7:15.

Evangels Sunday School Class met with Johnnie Parmer for the monthly time of fellowship.

WMU will hold the monthly birthday party for the residents of the Chandler Nursing Center.

Singin' Saintz will meet Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for Fellowship and rehearsal at 10:00. Come join this group of happy folks and sing a while.

Minister Appreciation Month: October is National Minister Appreciation Month. God has blessed WLBC with a sweet spirit, a dynamic fellowship, an exciting future, AND especially with a wonderful staff. We LOVE our pastor, Bro. Eric Peyton and our Minister of Worship, Bro. Keith Davis. We appreciate their service to Christ and His church.
