The Forest Grove Ladies Auxiliary's Annual Fall Sale will be October 19-20 starting at 7:30 AM at the Forest Grove Community Center which is located 8 miles south of Chandler on Hwy. 315. Look for signs.

Brownsboro Young Farmers will be having their County Validations at the TVCC Ranch from 7:00-11:00 AM. Animals that are to be validated are: Steers, Goats, Lambs, Commercial heifers, Yearlings- Filly/Gelding. The Young Farmers will also be having their National FFA Convention in Louisville, KY On October 25-28. On October 30 there will be a meeting at the Brownsboro High School Ag Department starting at 6:30 PM . The meeting is open to all parents and interested persons are invited to attend.

The Third Annual Fall Family Fun Night will be on Saturday, October 20 from 4-7 P.M.,outside on the church grounds at the First United Methodist Church located on Hwy 31 in Murchison. Something is planned for all ages. Activities are a jump house, face painting, food, hayrides, and maybe pony rides. Special entertainment will be furnished by the Marvin Jones County Gospel Band and a clown group, "Simply His Clowns," who will do face painting and make animal balloons. Food will be available and door prizes will be given. Admittance is canned foods or cash donation to the Henderson County Food Pantry.

Movie Night returns on October 20 at Lake Palestine United Methodist Church. Doors open at 6:30 and the movie will be starting at 7:00. This month's movie is going to be the hot new release, "Evan Almighty." The menu for this month will be hot dogs, chili dogs, frito pie, and popcorn. As always admission is free.

First Baptist Church of Ben Wheeler will be hosting their "Fishers of Men Catfish Fry", for adult and high school age men in this area on October 20 at 6:00 P.M. There will be no charge, but a love offering will be taken. The special speaker will be Nathan Lorick. They will also be hosting a Fall Festival on October 31 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. There will be games, food, prizes, and candy for all ages. No scary or spooky costumes please.

There will be a Senior Lock- In meeting on October 21 starting at 2:30 at the Methodist Church in Chandler. All Senior parents are invited to attend.

Brownsboro Intermediate School will be hosting a Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 23 from 6-8:30 P.M. at their campus. Come join in the fun. There will be games, jump houses, cake walks, and great food. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Brownsboro Intermediate. For more information call 903-852-7325.

"Full Wide Fall Festival", Thursday, October 25 from 5:30-8 PM at Chandler Elementary. Activities scheduled include a country store, silent auction, Bingo, cake walk, and various booths. There will be food and drinks for sale. For more information call the Chandler Elementary at 903-849-3400.

Brownsboro Boys' Little Dribblers is now taking applications for the 2007-2008 season until October 26, 2007. Applications are available at both the elementary and intermediate schools in Brownsboro and Chandler and at the Murchison school. THIS YEAR WE WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE APPLICATIONS. Relay for Life will have its initial kick-off October 29 at 5:30 PM on the parking lot at T.V.C.C. in Athens. Hot dogs and drinks will be served. Candy Night!!!! Tuesday, October 30th from 7 to 9 PM at the Refuel Teen Center. Get a jump start on the candy for Halloween at the Teen Center. Dress up in your costume and hang out at the teen center.

"Family Fun Night", will be October 31 from 6-8:30 PM at First Assembly of God, 804 N Broad St., Chandler. The Corsicana Sunset Lions Navarro College LEO Club will be hosting the Jim Jones Memorial Deer Hunters' BBQ. The event will be taking place on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. in the Corsicana High School Commons, which is located at 3701 West HWY 22.
