Services for Mr. Sydney Branch Mallet, Jr., 83, Chandler were held Thursday, October 11, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at West Lake Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Peyton and Rev. Bob Sexton officiating.

Burial was in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Mallet died October 7, 2007, in Dallas, Texas. He was born October 16, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Sydney Branch Mallet, Sr. and wife Nell. He had lived in the Chandler area for about 18 years and was a member of West Lake Baptist Church. He was a laboratory test equipment technician.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Margaret Finley.

Survivors include his wife, Marilou Mallet, Chandler; son, Sidney Mark Mallet, Chandler; step-son Deon Strahan and wife Robin of Anderson, Texas; daughter, Deborah Kay Riley, Jacksonville, Texas; step-daughter, Susan Pruitt and husband David of Frisco, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Andy, Amy, Angela, Kristine, Kelly Garret, Alyssa; 2 great-grandchildren, Sydney, and Jacob.

Pallbearers were Gary Henry, Myles Hulsey, Deon Strahan, Andy Mallet, Neilon Cotten and Tom Jones.

Memorials may be made to West Lake Baptist Church.
