Freshman Bears winning streak snapped in Van

The Freshman Bears winning streak was snapped last Thursday as they opened District 14- AAA play in Van.
Winners of two straight, the Bears fell to the Van Vandals 40-0 while not earning a first down the entire game. Van led 20-0 at the half.
Overall Brownsboro dropped to 2-4 on the season and 0-1 in district play. Van improved to 4-0-2 on the season and 1-0 in district.
Kyle Faulkner passed for nine yards on four completions to four different receivers. Catching passes for the Bears were DeAndre Taylor, Chris Stringer, Brandon Crawford and Darius Johnson.
Johnson led the Bears in rushing with 10 yards on four carries.
Brownsboro was held to minus five yards on offense while Van gained 328 yards of offense.
Charfus Mayfield and Dallas Huckabee both recorded a tackle for a loss against Van.
Chapel Hill will faceoff against the Bears tonight in Brownsboro with a kickoff of 5:00pm.
