Here is a Huge Thank You to: Kaitlyn Smith, Donna Smith, Melody from Heritage Insurance, Missionary Ricky, Melissa Kidd, Sherri Cramer, Carla and Tina, Barry and Tanya Clark, Martha Copeland, Margie Wright, Beth Bailey, Brandy, Rose, Ladell Cranford, Sheliah and Rhonda for adopting a resident for Christmas.

We still have many residents who would love to be adopted. Our community party will be on December 21st, at 2:00 p.m. If you are interested in adopting, please give Gretta a call at 903-849-2485.

I would like to also invite the businesses, the Lions Club, the Red Hatters and also the churches of Chandler to enter our "Christmas Trees Around Chandler" contest. For more details, please give Gretta a call.

We are starting our rest area for residents. It is a room in which residents sit and watch TV or read and color before and after meals. Residents voted for "Little Italy." Lots of plants, wine decor, prints of Italy ... could use some ideas, and also plants. The Lions Club sponsored our white paint, plants and pictures for the room. Plans to move the Coke and candy machine to the movie room and then we can start the decorating.

Did I mention that it is so nice to have Miss Deana Perry back with us! If you have not met our Administrator, please come by and meet her.

A special thank you to our ministers that are here for our residents' services: Pastor Tommy Weems, Rock Hill Baptist Church members, Martin Springs Baptist Church, Pastor David Tidmore, Missionary Ricky, Mrs. Opal Barron, West Lake Baptist Church, and Pastor Daniels. We appreciate each and every one of them for giving their time!

Also, I would like to encourage the community of Chandler and the surrounding areas, to give us a visit, and become involved in the facility. We have residents here that were once members of our community churches, worked at our community businesses and some that were volunteers for many years for our facility.

Now they are depending on the community to continue to be part of their life. We are looking for volunteers, to dedicate one day per month to either come in as a group or as individuals. Please give Gretta a call, 903-849-2485.
