Since dropping the first game of the season to Jacksonville the Junior Varsity Bears have been on a roll.

Brownsboro has won five of their last six games including last Thursday's game against Chapel Hill.

Not only have the Bears been winning, they have been putting a lot of points on the board in a variety of way.

Minus the game two weeks ago when the Bears tied Van 8-8 the team has averaged 36 points a game while allowing just 13 points a game.

Last week the Bears dominated the visiting Bulldogs on both sides of the ball, winning 36-6.

Austin Adair scored the first two touchdowns of the game last Thursday, one from each side of the ball.

On the Bears first offensive drive of the game Ryan Owens connected with Adair on a 30 yard touchdown pass.

During the Bulldogs attempt to tie the game Adair intercepted a Chapel Hill pass and returned it 60 yards for the score. After Jon Jon Thompson converted the twopoint conversion the Bears led 14-0.

Chapel Hill's next drive was cut short as the Brownsboro defense rose up to claim its second turnover of the game.

Garret Bragg unleased a big hit on a Chapel Hill running back to create a fumble. The loose ball was recovered by Bret Ralson.

Overall the Bear defense created 5 turnovers. Also recovering fumbles for the Bears was Peyton Williams, Leroy Loredo and Cody Smith.

Brownsboro's third score of the game came with 5:13 left in the first half on a trick play.

Owens passed to Ryan Cawthon who pitched the ball to Jon Jon Thompson behind the line of scrimmage. Thompson did the rest behind great blocking as he ran 54 yards for the score. Owens hit Adair for the two point conversion to give the Bears a 22-0 lead.

Leading 22-0 the Bears were not through scoring in the first half. Owens raced 54 yards on a quarterback draw to put the Bears up 30-0 after a Bragg two point conversion with 1:43 left to play.

Chapel Hill fumbled on the ensuing possession setting the Bears up on the Bulldog 19 yard line. Owens connected with Adam Dingler for a 15 yard touchdown pass to give the Bears a 36-0 halftime lead.

Owens was 9-10 passing for 133 yards and three touchdowns. He rushed for 42 yards on nine attempts.

Overall the Bears totaled just 189 yards of offense but the game was never in question. Brownsboro started most of their possessions on the Chapel Hill side of the field.

James Cofer led the team in receiving with 3 catches for 21 yards.

Brownsboro (5-1-1, 1-0-1) will look to stay undefeated in district play tonight as they travel to Canton.
