State amendments polling places Henderson County has begun early voting on a menu of 16 amendments. The voting period began Monday, October 22, and will last through Friday, November 2. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6. The amendments will affect all of Texas. Evelyn Anderson, Henderson County Clerk Office's chief deputy, said there won't be any indication as to what might pass until Election Day. "We hope to be done by 8:30 to 9 pm," Anderson said. The early voting registration is open to all registered voters. Voters can visit the courthouse basement in Athens, Seven Points' city hall or the Chandler Substation to cast their vote. Chandler's daily voting period is from 8 am to 11:30 am, and from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Substation is located on 460 S Broad St., Seven Points' city hall on 428 E Cedar Creek Pkwy., Seven Points, TX 75143, and the Athens Courthouse is on 100 E. Tyler, Athens, TX 75751. Seven Points' times are identical to Chandler's, and the Athens Courthouse is open from 8 am to 5 pm. On Election Day, votes will be taken from 7 am to 7 pm. The list of voting locations will also be expanded to include Malakoff City Hall, Oran White Civic Center in Tool, Eustace High School, Brawner Hall and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gun Barrel City, Payne Springs Community Center, Brownsboro and Chandler Community Centers, Cain Center in Athens, Athens School Administration building, Coffee City Hall and Fire Department, Moore Station Community Center and Poynor City Hall. |
