Genealogical Society to Have "Show and Tell"

The November 24th meeting of the Van Zandt County Genealogical Society will have their own members and guests present the program. The subject will be "Show and Tell."

Participants are urged to call Program Chairperson, Kitty Wheeler, at 903-962- 3156, or come by the Library of Genealogy and Local History, located in the VZ County courthouse Annex Building, to let her know what object you will be bringing so that she can get you on her agenda.

Everyone has something, a letter from a great-grandparent, a war souvenir, a piece of jewelry from a relative or something from generations past that would be of interest. Or, maybe just a story of something that happened in the family that you would like to share with others.

This will be the last meeting of the year. At this meeting the new officers will be elected. There will be a report from the nominating committee and nominations from the floor will be entertained. The officers will be installed at the January 2008 meeting.

Everyone is invited to attend this meeting. It will be held at the Van Zandt County Library, 317 First Monday Lane in Canton.
