Annual benefit golf tournament a success

Raising more than $5,000 for the Lon Morris Softball Complex the Second Annual Lon Morris Benefit Tournament held at Echo Creek Country Club was a success.

Earning first place was the team consisting of Marla Frederick, John Hartsfield, Chuck McAllister and Coach Frederick. The team finished 15 under.

Second place went to Ron Horton, Wayne Horton, Rick Stewart and Jackie Thorn as they finished 12 under.

Finishing 11 under and in third place was Jerry Neff, Jim Pickens, Jesse Brannen and Lou Gary Thomas.

Individual awards went to Steve Ray for the longest drive and Jackie Thorn for being closest to the pin.

Chuck McAllister won a Mavs weekend while Ken White, Jack Cherry and Keltie Grigby won a Stars weekend.
