Babysitter's Boot Camp this Saturday

The Smith County Chapter, American Red Cross will hold a Babysitter's Boot Camp on Saturday, November 17, 2007 to individuals interested in becoming an American Red Cross certified Babysitter.

During this intense one-day training, registered participants will be provided a lunch by the Smith County Chapter, American Red Cross with morning and afternoon snacks, a Babysitter's Handbook and a Red Cross Babysitter's Portfolio First Aid Kit, a Babysitter's Training Certificate, and upon successful completion the student will receive training for a one-year certification in Child and Infant CPR.

This one-day adventure is designed to give 11 to 15-yearolds as much information and skills necessary to become responsible qualified Red Cross babysitters. Participants will learn how to prepare for a new job, receive basic childcare skills and receive Infant and Child CPR certification with First Aid. A guest speaker from the Tyler Fire Department will discuss safety and emergency information.

Class size is limited, so in order to receive registration information, please call Jennifer at 903-581-7981, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. We now take Master Card, Visa and American Express for payment.
