Bro. David Tidmore's message was from Luke 18:18-21, "What does it take to be an American?" in honor of Veteran's Day.

We had six Veterans in our service Sunday morning. We honored them as they kept our country going while they were in service. We also remembered the ones that are serving today.

Betty Vick, Cathy Moore, Carolyn Fender and daughters attended the birthday party of Betty's grandson in Palestine Sunday.

The Youth have started a fundraiser to fund several upcoming mission trips. They will be selling coupons for a 10x13 photograph. The picture date is tentatively set for January 12, 2008, costing $5.00. So see a youth member or call the church and have your picture made.

One member of our youth is taking a mission trip in July to the U.K. The youth are planning a trip to Brownsville and Mexico.

Those with birthdays this past week were Reg Durham and Mary McAlexander.

A big birthday party for Mary McAlexander was given Sunday afternoon at the Community Center in Chandler. Happy birthday, Mary, and many more.

David Strickland still isn't feeling well. He is at home now.

The niece of Ann Tidmore will be undergoing surgery on her ankle on Tuesday in a Dallas area hospital. Pray for her recovery.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Smiley are on vacation this week. I believe they went to see the beautiful fall leaves in Arkansas.

All our sick and shut-ins are still in need of your daily prayers.

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Brown had their son Blake and children as visitors on Saturday.

Donna James hasn't felt good but she was at church Sunday.
