Christmas Tour of Homes to feature four homes
Annual Tour of Homes
by Nancy Bertholf

Copeland Home
The 2007 Christmas Tour of Homes sponsored by Women's Unity Fellowship will feature four unique homes decorated for the holidays. The Tour will be Sunday, December 2, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and Monday, December 3, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Tour of Trees and Christmas Market at the First United Methodist Church or at the door. Maps will also be available at the church.

Don and Martha Copeland's new country French home at 14102 FM 2010 will be decorated with old world charm and rustic accents. Each room will feature a nativity scene from their collection. Longhorn fans will be impressed with the burnt orange decorations and tree in the den area.

It may be off the beaten path but it's worth the drive to Amanda and Josh Williams' Texas country home located on a Red Bud Lane private road. Decorations will include many unique woodland themed trees, Santas with a western influence and garlands and wreaths featuring antlers, deer and barbed wire.

Lynne Staines has decorated her new home in Fargo Estates with many of the antiques she has collected and inherited from family. The newly added pond and circle drive will provide a dramatic entrance for all visitors. College student Emily Staines' bedroom will be a highlight of the tour with its art deco furnishings and accessories.

McGill Home
New Chandler residents Lori and Randy McGill will open their house at 320 Susie and invite all to view their international Santa Collection and Snow Village collection. The home will feature a traditional tree as well as a Snowman Tree, Santa Tree and Sports Tree.

The Tour of Trees and Christmas Market at the First United Methodist Church is held in conjunction with the Tour of Homes. It will be open during the same hours as the Tour of Homes and also include a Living Nativity on Sunday and Monday nights. Soup will be served ($1 a bowl) on Monday night. Visitors are asked to bring canned goods to use for voting on their favorite tree. All canned goods will be donated to God's Open Hands.
