Leagueville Baptist
by Church Staff

This Sunday, Bro. Tom brought us a message about being truly thankful from Psalms 100. He reminded us that being thankful should not be just a word that we use lightly. We should show God that we are thankful through our actions every day. Sunday morning, we saw Karley Parker go forward as a candidate for baptism. Karley accepted Christ as her Savior last Sunday afternoon after our Revival service. Karley was baptized after our morning service. Congratulations, Karley! We are so proud of your decision to follow Christ.

Sunday night we held our Fourth Sunday Singing, which is always a blessing. Some of our regulars that always bless us with a special were not able to sing because of illness and we hope that you are well soon.

We will be having a missionary, Bro. Frank Horton, speak at our evening service next Sunday, December 2nd. He is a missionary to Chiapas, Mexico. Please come and hear what he has to share with us about this ministry.

In anticipation of our Children's Nativity program, we will begin our practices this Wednesday night at 7:00 in the gym. This program is for children from toddlers through sixth grade. The program will be held on Wednesday, December 19, at 7 p.m. We encourage all of our children to atend each practice. This is always a blessing to our church.

Our children who are participating in the Nativity program will be going to the nursing home in Athens to sing Christmas Carols on December 16th. We will leave immediately after our morning service and eat pizza at Mazzio's before we sing at the nursing home. When we return to the church, the children will be practicing the Nativity program and having snacks before the evening service.

Remember, we are continuing our practices for our Christmas Cantata at 4:30 p.m. each Sunday. Our Christmas Cantata will be December 16, in the 11 a.m. service. I know that Bro. Selman would still welcome anyone that is interested in joining the group.

We were so pleased to see Chuck O'Harra, Dee Vest, and Amos Simmons in our services Sunday morning. We are so glad that you are all feeling better. Please continue to remember them, as well as the many others on the prayer list, in your prayers.

Have a great week. Remember that to receive a blessing, you must first be a blessing.
