By Nathan Straus News Reporter

A 1991 Pontiac Grand Am crashed off the road November 20 at 1:10 pm. The vehicle, driven by Stephanie Beltran of Flint, struck a fence after leaving Broad Street in Chandler. Beltran claimed she crashed due to being distracted by a child in the vehicle.

The fence suffered $500 in damages. The street's speed limit was 45 miles per hour, and according to the police report, there was not an unsafe speed citation.

In addition, area rainfall created unsafe driving conditions Saturday, November 24, when a 1993 Mercury Sable slid off FM 315 South. The wreck occurred at 9:05 am when the Sable, driven by Christi Pavelka of Garland slipped in the slick road and hit a fence. The driver lost control of the vehicle when she went into a curve.

Damages to the fence and vehicle were not contained in the police report.

The speed limit of the area Pavelka drove in was 50 miles per hour, and she was cited as driving at an unsafe speed.

No injuries were reported for either accident.
