Bears lose two at Burger King Classic

Game one of the 10th Annual Burger King Classic was one the Bears would like to forget as they fell to the Frankston Indians 54-34 at UT Tyler.

Frankston improved to 3-0 on the season with the win while the Bears dropped to 2-1 in non-district action.

Andrew Adair led the Bears in scoring with nine points, Tristian Warren was second on the team in scoring with eight points.

Day two of the Classic was better for the Bears but after a hard fought game the score board favored the Lindale Eagles.

In overtime Lindale outscored the Bears 11- 2 to take a 76-67 victory.

Brownsboro led most of the game but with two minutes left in the fourth period and trailing by nine the Eagles began to take flight.

Lindale tied the game at 65 to force the overtime period.

Keaton Parsell scored a team high 12 points for the Bears while Keith Johnson (11) and Ryan Smith (10) also scored in double figures.

On the season the Bears record dropped to 2-2. This Friday they will play at home against Palestine, scheduled tip-off is 6:00pm. The freshman and JV will play in the Kemp tournament that began today.
