      Junior Varsity Bearettes With just one game last week the Junior Varsity Bearettes made the most of it as they improved to 7-2 on the season with a 49-28 win over Henderson last Tuesday. Chelsea Chambers two 3- pointers and Hillary Shaffer led the Bearettes in scoring with nine points.

GETSO bracket revised
      The Arp Tigers dropped out of the Great East Texas Shootout as their football team is still in the playoffs. With Arp dropping out the bottom half of the bracket has changed.

Bears split week of action in Brownsboro

      After starting the season on the road the Bears came home to Brownsboro last Tuesday with a record of 2-2 to face a 1-1 Troup Tiger squad. Troup outscored the Bears 12-8 in the first period before the Bears rallied back in front of a lively home crowd to take a 23-21 lead at the half.

      Improving to 6-3 on the season the Brownsboro Bearettes won three of four games played last week, all on the road. Beginning the week of action in Henderson the Bearettes defeated the Lady Lions by the score of 68-28. Three Bearettes scored in double figures in the win.
