Leagueville Baptist We at LBC are preparing our hearts and homes for Christmas. Bro. Tom spoke to us Sunday about "Unwrapping the Gifts of Christmas. " We get so busy this time of year and sometimes we forget the true Gift of Christmas, Jesus Christ. Our church looks so beautiful this time of year. A big "thank you" goes to those ladies and gentlemen that spent many hours at the church decorating. We would like to extend our sympathies to the family of Sharon Cottle. Please remember this family in your prayers. Bro. Frank Horton, a missionary to Chiapas, Mexico, spoke to us Sunday night about his burden for the people there. We know that God will bless this ministry. The children have begun practicing for the Nativity program on Wednesday nights at 7pm in the gym. The program will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 7pm. There is still time for your child to participate. Please be sure to bring him or her to each Wednesday evening practice so the parts can be assigned correctly. Our children will be going to Mazzio's Pizza and the nursing home after the morning service December 16th, to sing Christmas Carols. We will then return to the church at 3pm to practice for the Nativity. Our Christmas Cantata will be December 16, in the 11am service. We look forward to hearing this ministry of song. Bro. Selman and the choir have been diligently working for many weeks on this Cantata. Please encourage them by your presence. The Women Encouraging Women will have their monthly meeting Monday, December 10th at 6pm. We invite all women to attend. This group will bless you. The annual Christmas Party for the women of LBC will be Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 at the home of Lou Jean Epperson. All women are invited. You need not be a member. There will be child care provided in the church nursery by two of our young ladies. Please plan to attend. This is always a great time for our ladies to enjoy some time together. Please bring a gift to exchange. We hope that you have a great week. Enjoy this Christmas season and remember the true Gift of Christmas, Jesus Christ. |
