Chandler Nursing Ctr.
by Shirley Smith

Happy holidays to all! We have Thanksgiving behind us, and Christmas is on the way. As some of you can, I can remember the first of December and it was the countdown until the 25th.

I may not have gotten very much, but whatever the gift, it was very exciting. So try and find it in your heart to share with others. It may not be large, but remember most of all the reason for the season, and the reason is Jesus!

The residents are really enjoying this nice weather. Many of them sit on the front porch, so if you have time stop by a few minutes and visit with them. Also, the residents inside; that would really bless our hearts. You know, we get kind of lonely this time of the year. We really appreciate all of the employees, not only for taking care of us, but for the extra mile they go by showing love and kindness.

You know we can tell by the look in your eye or the tone in your voice, how you feel. At times we are like children ... a smile, a pat on the back can go a long way!

We want to thank Missionary Ricky for bringing our service each 4th Sunday of the month. His guest this time was Brother Samuel, who brought our message. It was very inspiring.

We always want to thank Brother Tommy Weems for bringing our Bible study each Thursday afternoon at 1:15.

We are needing size 40- waist, 30-length pants for a man. If you would like to make donations please give Veverly (that's `V' as in victory) a call at 903-849-2485.

And just a reminder, our community Christmas party will be on the 21st at 2:00 p.m., and if you have adopted a resident, please get your gift here on or before that date. If you are unable to make the party, bring your gift in early. Each resident will need a gift to open at the party. Please do not give it to them early, because they will be sitting there with nothing to open at the party.

God bless you all until next week!
