OUT OF STEP
Once a champion typist
doing sixty words a minute,
but the world competerized
and I'm no longer in it!
I can't figure out the meaning
of hard drive, windows and software,
why a mouse directs the system
and why a menu is in there.
In this modern day world
I may seem handicapped,
out of step and out of tune,
but at least I'm not zapped
by virus, worms and spam.
I'll use my typewriter, pen and ink
and don't mind being called old fashioned,
because, that's just what I am.

A CHRISTMAS POEM
In existence forever all eternity past,
A fabulous Being forever could pass
His life eternal to all of creation.
In the heart of a virgin a miracle emerging.
The body the sacrifice for the whole human race,
forever men's sins could be erased.
The story of Christmas sometimes isn't clear.
It's not of a fat man and eight tiny reindeer.
Each year we celebrate His wonderful love,
Because we are the reason He came from above.

THANKS FOR THE BLESSINGS
Let us take time every morning to turn to our Lord
and say
Thanks for another restful night
And the dawn of a brand-new day.
Thank You for the blessings and gifts
You've given us all these years,
And for the times You helped us through
Life's many heartaches and tears.
Thank You for this beautiful world --
For the flowers, the birds, and the trees,
And for so many precious children.
We thank You for all of these.
Your blessings and gifts outnumber, by far,
The stars that shine above,
But the one we treasure most of all
Is
Your overwhelming love!

RECIPE FOR ETERNAL LIFE
1 cup of God's love
1 cup of God's grace
1 drop of Christ's blood (whose death was in our place)
Your part is to believe it, turn to Christ and receive it!
God gave us His Son, His work is already done.
