Leon O. Wilson

Masonic graveside services for Leon O. Wilson, 89, Edom, were held Sunday in Haven of Memories Cemetery under the auspices of Canton Masonic Pine Lodge No. 203. Arrangements were with Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Mr. Wilson died December 5, 2007, at his residence.

He was born September 10, 1918, in Justin to Leon Oliver and Winnie Myrtle Tapp Wilson. He was a Methodist, a member and past master of Masonic Pine Lodge No. 203 and past district deputy of Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas. He served in the Navy during World War II. Preceding him in death were his wife, Peggy Avis Wilson, in 2003; brother, Roy Marcus Wilson; and a daughter, Jo Ann Wilson.

Survivors include daughters, Carole Annette Hyde, Kilgore, Jane Elizabeth Hyde, Ben Wheeler, and Joan Elaine Freeman, Rye; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
