William Maurice Boyd

Services for Wilburn "Bill" Maurice Boyd, 71, Plano, formerly of Brownsboro, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Abbey Chapel, Restland Funeral Home, Dallas.

Mr. Boyd died December 4, 2007 in Plano.

He was born November 8, 1936, in Brownsboro to the late Jess and Velma Boyd. He grew up in Dumas, where he graduated from high school, and attended Texas Tech University. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War and worked at Collins Radio and Rockwell, Texas Instruments and Andrew Corporation as an electronics technician. He was a member and past grand master of the Masonic Lodge in Plano and a former member of the Shriners.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Boyd Chapman, Kingwood; sisters, Mary Featherston and Norma Parker, both of Brownsboro; and one grandson.
