JV Bearettes claim another tournament crown
      This season the Junior Varsity Bearettes have played in two tournaments. The final results of both tournaments found the Bearettes on the victorious end. Brownsboro defeated Jacksonville 36-19 to claim the Jacksonville tournament title last Saturday in Jacksonville.

Bullard no match for BJHS teams
      Home or away the Bullard Panthers were no match for the Brownsboro Junior High basketball players as seven of eight basketball teams defeated Bullard last Monday. In girls action the 8th grade "A" team defeated Bullard 36-27 as LaKiesha Johnson led the Bearettes with nine points.

Freshman Bears
      Brownsboro's freshman game was canceled last Tuesday leaving the Bears only action last week to the Athens Tournament. Opening the tournament against Malakoff the Bears lost by the score of 39-31. Collin Mason led the Bears in scoring with 14 points.

     Cade Smith, 8, of Chandler won 2nd place in the 9 and under age group in the Reindeer 5k run in Tyler while Toby Davis, 10, of Brownsboro won 2nd place in the 12 and under age group.

Bearettes improve to 10-4 on the season

      Set to host Athens for a chance at fifth place in the Great East Texas Shootout the Bearettes record stood at 10- 4 on the season. As of Monday the girls record still stands at 10-4 as their final game of the annual tournament was canceled.
