Bullard no match for BJHS teams

Home or away the Bullard Panthers were no match for the Brownsboro Junior High basketball players as seven of eight basketball teams defeated Bullard last Monday.

In girls action the 8th grade "A" team defeated Bullard 36-27 as LaKiesha Johnson led the Bearettes with nine points.

The 8th grade "B" team defeated Bullard 16-12. Rae Rae Winnett led the team in scoring with 7 points.

Winning by 31 points was the 7th grade "A" team as they rolled to a 37-6 victory. Baylie Conner led the Bearettes in scoring with 8 points.

Finally the 7th grade "B" team defeated Bullard 21-6 as Megann Hagman led the girls in scoring with 9 points.

Boys action saw the Bears "A" team defeat Bullard by the score of 37-27. Keuntis Thompson led the Bears in scoring with 25 points.

Suffering the only loss of the week the 8th grade "B" team lost 16-11 to Bullard. Bell led the Bears in scoring with eight points.

Patrick McCarthy scored a team high 12 points as the 7th grade "A" team rolled past Bullard 32-18.

Scoring 10 points in the second half of play Kevin Elder led the 7th grade "B" team past Bullard 16-6.

Saturday the "B" teams from BJHS will take part in the annual "B" team tournament at the school. All the `A' teams won their tournament a couple weeks ago.
