Freshman Bearettes

The Jacksonville Tournament was not a favorable event for the Freshman Bearettes as they lost three of four games played.

Brownsboro's lone win came in round two of the tournament against Carthage.

Opening the tournament against Lindale the Bearettes fell short 33-25. Tiffany Hurd led Brownsboro in scoring with 10 points.

Winning 29-15 in round two against Carthage Carley Smith led the Bearettes in scoring with nine points. She also nailed the only 3-pointer for the Bearettes in the tournament.

In a close game the Bearettes fell to Jacksonville in round three 28-24. Carley Smith led the Bearettes in scoring with 10 points.

Chelsea Holcomb led the Bearettes in scoring with five points in the final game of the tournament against Van.

Van edged the Bearettes 18- 15 scoring 10 points in the fourth period to erase a 12-8 Brownsboro lead entering the final period of play.

Today through Saturday the Bearettes (4-6) will play in the Van tournament.
