Greetings and Merry Christmas to all from our family at Martin Springs Baptist.

The past week Bro. David Tidmore's sermon was on "The Holiday Christian." It was from James 1-22. I hope that we aren't a part of being just a "Holiday Christian." Hope we are proven to be a real Christian in all we do.

We had our "White Elephant" Christmas party last week at church. There was a lot of food and fellowship enjoyed by all.

We have lots of December birthdays: James Gilley, Davelyn Barton, Lisa Prather, Kayla Doty, Earline Stansell, Kyler and Taylor Hopson, Gerald Metcalf and Jessica Staggs. Hope you all had a nice birthday.

The Christmas Program was a big success Sunday. As always, Mrs. Shirley can put an inspirational program together. Thanks, Shirley from everyone. There were special songs and readings. Our little ones did the manger scene. Hope you were there and saw it.

Remember to keep your prayers lifted up for our military, sick and bereaved in our community.

Donna Jennings is recovering after shoulder surgery last week.
