Beetle strikes tree
Noon Tuesday this blue 2003 Volkswagen Beetle struck a tree on CR 3613 about a mile off of Highway 31. The driver, 17- year-old Collin Hortman, said the car cut to the side of the road and he tried to correct it before the Beetle hit the tree. The vehicle suffered severe damage to the left front of the car. Hortman was taken to Trinity Mother Frances as a precaution.
