Urgent! Meals On Wheels in the Chandler area is in Real Need for a volunteer to deliver meals to some people. This is an opportunity for someone to give back and receive a blessing. It will only take about an hour of your time to deliver to 25 needy individuals in our community and for only one day a week. The meals will be picked up at the Community Center to be delivered.Please call Kimberly Laws at (903)849-2252.

Brownsboro United Methodist Church will have their Sunday Singing on Dec. 30 at 6 PM. It will be all Christmas carols and the community is invited.

First United Methodist Church in Murchison invites you to attend a musical worship service at 11 am on the first Sunday after Christmas Day, Dec. 30. Featured guest soloist will be Sherry Parker from Brownsboro. A covered dish luncheon will follow with your favorite New Year's Eve food, and your favorite table games. We will have the Cowboy/ Redskin game on TV.

Sign-up for the 2008 Girl's Little Dribblers season is underway. Please remember that applications must be postmarked by December 31, 2007, in order for your daughter to be eligible for the draft. There will be a coaches meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7PM, at the Brownsboro Old Intermediate Gym. Anyone interested in coaching a girl's team this season is required to attend. The draft will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7PM. Anyone interested in coaching a girl's team should contact Scott Williams (President) at 903-681-2111.

Silly City Daycare will have a New Year's Eve Ball at the Chandler Community Center. This is a black-tie event, with dinner being served at 7:00 PM. Single tickets are $15 and couples are $25. There will be a live D.J. and dancing. Tickets are limited and need to be purchased in advance by calling 903-849-5333.

Casey Rivers will be performing at First Baptist Church of Edom 9714 FM 314 on Sunday, Jan. 6 during morning worship service. Morning worship service begins at 10:45 AM. Everyone welcome to attend. Palmetto State QT. from South Carolina will be performing on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Texas Gospel Music Hall on 6513 HWY 19 South in Athens Also in concert will be Lifeway Trio of Athens and special guest, Joseph Ellenberg, of Longview. The concert will start at 6PM, but the doors will open at 5PM. Reserved seat tickets are $15, Advance Tickets General Admission is $12, day of the concert $15. Tickets are available at The Scroll in Tyler, First State Bank on the square in Athens, and Music Hall by calling 903- 677-2492.
