District play begins Friday
      The preseason is over. Brownsboro will begin the ten-game journey towards a possible playoff appearance on Friday as they open play in District 14-3A. In Brownsboro on Friday night the Bearettes will host the Athens Lady Hornets. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Weather takes its toll on JV
      Three double headers have been canceled this season keeping the Junior Varsity Bears baseball team from improving on their 1-2 overall record. "They are a talented bunch." Brownsboro coach Joe Fleming said. "It is a shame the weather had kept them off the field.

Bears shutdown by Mother Nature
      Brownsboro at Westwood, canceled. Athens Tournament, canceled. Home opener vs Palestine rescheduled to be played in Palestine. Mother Nature is doing her best to keep the Brownsboro Bears baseball team off the field. Rain and snow have kept the Bears off the field as they try to prepare for District 14- 3A play. District games begin on Tuesday as the Bears host Van at 6p.

Texas Xtreme fall 52-0
      The Texas Xtreme traveled to Weatherford Saturday, March 8, and suffered an embarrassing 52-0 loss. The Xtreme suffered their second scoreless game in three weeks and second in team history. The combination of 17 new offensive players, four offensive linemen unavailable, 12 penalties, and 11 offensive turnovers was devastating.
