Shortstops post similar sophomore seasons

      Before winning four World Series championships with the New York Yankees, shortstop Derek Jeter played his high school ball at Central High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He graduated with a 3.82 GPA and finished 21 in his class of 250 students.

Little league action underway
      Area little league teams began play last week and will continue throughout the summer. Natalie Wright, pictured right, hit a homerun during the first inning of the Diamonds and Flash game played at the old Brownsboro High School field.

All-District team announced

      Two Brownsboro High School juniors earned a spot on the District 14-3A All-District team that was released on Monday. Bullard was knocked out of the playoffs on Saturday with a 1-0 loss to Liberty Eylau in 18 innings ending District 14-3A's representation in the playoffs.

Coaches prepare for the fifth annual non-contact camp

      They have led the Varsity Bears football team for several years and now the coaches of Brownsboro High School will be holding a noncontact camp June 2-5. For the fifth year in a row the BHS coaching staff will teach young football fans and players football fundamentals, lessons in proper conditioning and nutrition, goal setting, sportsmanship and more.
