Chad Wilson Photo Thirty six Brownsboro ISD students grades seven through twelve, were honored by the Chandler Lions Club during a special student recognition program last Tuesday for their work ethic, attitude and for being a good kid. They weren't chosen because they make could run the fastest, twirl a baton the best, or were the best player on the team, but for their work ethic, attitude and mostly for just being a good kid.

During a special student recognition program, the Chandler Lions Club honored 36 BISD students from grades seven through twelve, Tuesday, May 6, at the Chandler Community Center.

"It's an honor for me to be a member of the Lions Club and to present these awards," Elton Caldwell, Lions Club member, and BISD Superintendent said.

As he called each student forward, Caldwell read a brief summary of their attitudes while Chandler Lions Club member George DeMore presented each with a medal.

"This is to say thank you for being a good kid," Caldwell said. "These students exhibit a good work ethic, are respectable, and they help others. "

Students possessing such qualities as dedication, great attitude, kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, excellent student, helpful, respectful, car- ing, polite, diligent, outstanding, and dependable were honored with the award.

The following students who were honored, were nominated by one or more of their teachers:

7th Grade: Samuel Bynum, Baylie Conner, James Duncan, Toni Rachel D. Lee, Blake Ralson and Karina Rojas.

8th Grade: Elizabeth Elizonda, Savanna Griffith, Gabriela Gutierrez, Bryan Hollifield, James Pace and Haley Scheen.

9th Grade: Kelsey Babin, Dillon Carver, Abril Gonzales, Johnny Oden, Malea Sims, Carley Smith and Hunter Walters.
