BHS honors students

Hundreds packed into Brownsboro's Little Theater to honor all the students who had gone above what would normally be required during the school year. Students were honored for things such as perfect attendance, good grades, University Interscholastic League participation and more.

Honored for perfect attendance at the high school were Austin Adair, Kelcey Babin, Muhammad Bilal, Chase Carnes, Cashay Carter, Alexandria Conway, Kelsey Crawford, Katy Davis, Jennifer Dawson, Cesar Duran, Halima Farooq, Brandon Gifford, Marshall Gilbert, Abril Gonzales, Gwendolynne Goodwin, Logan Graham, Haily Hargrave, Chelsea Holcomb, John Jordan, Bradley Lento, Krystopher McLean, Payton Poole, Preston Reid, Jannet Rojas, Yessica Rojas, Malea Sims, Brooke Stewart and Johnathan Wynn.

Students in all high school grade levels were honored for getting all A's or all A's and B's during the year.

Eric Orange, Haley Smith and Kallie Murphy were given plaques according to their journalism achievements. The three also received plaques for qualifying for state.

Under business, Accounting went to Muhammad Bilal, Business Law went to Sarah Robertson, Business Management/ Business Ownership went to Kaylee Bartmess, Introduction to Business went to Colton Croley, Digital Graphics went to Kelsey Sciba, Keyboarding went to Shelbe Holt, Record Keeping went to Morgan Jones, Webmastering went to Chase Carnes, Office Administration went to Krystin Groothius and BCIS went to Chris Radford.

Under English, Juanita Duran received the award for Foundations in English, Wesley Smith received the award for Foundations in Reading, Carly Smith received the award for English I, Justin Payne received the award for English II, Randi Smith received the award for English III and Marla Pollard received the award for English IV.

For Family and Consumer Science, Brandi Budro was recognized for EECH, Stormi Kassinger was recognized for EEC, Alyson Ramirez was recognized for ESTA, Aurora Rojas was recognized for CD, Dannielle Johnson was recognized for PFP, Janelle Benton was recognized for IFL, Katie Markgraf was recognized for CFE, Christopher Christian was recognized for Marketing Dynamics and Allen Swalwell was recognized for Marketing Management.

For History, Ethan Newell received an award for Economics, Wendy Padgett received an award for Foundations in Social Studies, Broox Nichelson received an award for Government, Peyton Williams received an award for United States History, Malea Sims received an award for World Geography and Amber Debenport received an award for World History.

Class awards under Journalism went to Haily Hargrave for Advanced Photography, Haley Smith for Advanced Journalism, Sarah Gravitt for Journalism I, Lauren Wood for Photojournalism and Naomi Scott for Desktop Publishing.

Awards for Math went to Hillary Shaffer for Algebra I, Justin Vause for Algebra II, Nathaniel Kuhns for Algebra III, Brandon Dyer for Foundations in Math, Kelsey Crawford for Geometry, Stephanie Pruitt for Precalculus, James Peters for AP Calculus and Michael Perry for College Algebra/Trig.

Under Science, AP Biology went to Gwen Goodwin, Pre-AP Biology went to Jordan McCallie, Biology Honors went to Kelsey Head, Biology went to Ashleigh Alford, Foundations in Science went to Maya Chavanne, Chemistry went to Juan Macias, Physics Honors went to Logan McCullough and Physics went to Tarah Thornton.

Spanish class awards went to Sage Chambers for Spanish I, Karen Buniga for Spanish II and Glenn Devlin for Spanish III.

Speech awards went to Christine Staples for Speech and Will Jones for Bear Radio/Multimedia.
