Leagueville Baptist
We were blessed with another uplifting service this past Sunday. Bro. Tom has been challenging us with sermons teaching us about strengthening our relationship with Christ. If you were visiting us, we hope that we made you feel welcome and that you received a blessing. We were surely blessed by your presence.
The shower that was held for Melissa Dingler was a huge success. We would like to thank each lady that attended or sent a gift. There were lots of visitors in attendance and we thank you for taking time out to encourage this new family.
The Good-Timers will be meeting on Thursday, August 21st at 6pm in the gym. They will be playing dominoes and dining on finger foods and homemade ice cream. If you need more information, please see Richard Downs. This group always has a great time of fellowship. They would love for you to join them!
The Call to Recovery Meeting is held each Monday evening at 7pm. This is a special ministry of LBC that is growing rapidly. We invite you to see what this is all about. We are also providing a meal on Mondays and Wednesdays prior to the meeting and the Wednesday evening service. If you would like to help, please contact Mary Lou Jennings.
The next Men's Breakfast will be held Saturday, August 23rd at 8am. It will also be held in the gym. All men are invited to attend. This is an important part of our ministry at Leagueville Baptist Church.
Please remember to pray for our teachers and students who are returning to classes soon. School will begin soon and we need to pray for a safe and successful school year.
We will be having a 5th Sunday lunch August 31st. We will have lunch following our morning services and then we will have an afternoon service. There will be no evening service. We invite you to stay after our morning service and enjoy lunch with our members. Leagueville ladies outdo themselves with their best cooking each 5th Sunday.
We have several birthdays this week. We wish a happy birthday to Angie Parker, Selman Parker, Glen Vest and Robert Smith. We wish a happy anniversary to Danny and Angie Parker. We hope that your week is a blessed one.
