Courtest Photo The junior varsity cheerleaders search for Brownsboro school spirit in the High School gym at Meet the Bears. The event took place Monday night in the packed gym. It seemed almost the entire Brownsboro Independent School District community attended to show their support for the Bears and the Bearettes. Quite a stir was coming from the gym at Brownsboro High School Monday night! Meet the Bears set it off with music and a lot of school spirit for their 2008 sports season.

Most of the Bears introductions were followed by performances. Some that performed were The Golden Girls, The Bearettes volleyball team, the junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders, the junior high cheerleaders and even Bruno the Bear performed.

The junior high mascots were also introduced. The 7th grade Mascot is Carissa Dingler and 8th grade Mascot is Abby Parker.

The 2008 Bears were introduced and practically all of Brownsboro got to show their spirit and support.

The Bears football team already had their first scrimmage against Rusk and will have their second scrimmage August 21, against/in Crandall.

Head Athletic Trainer introduced Head Coach, for the Volleyball team, Becky Daughtry. The Volleyball team has already started their games and are 3-1. The Bearettes played their first home game against Alba Golden Tuesday, August 19.
