The Bears claimed their territory, early Saturday morning, when they scrimmaged against the Rusk Eagles.

Charlie Stringer opened it up with the first touchdown for the Bears, followed by Jon Jon Thompson after catching the pass near the 35 yard line, from Starting Quarterback Zach Bailey.

The other player passing the ball was Sophomore Ryan Owens.

Tristain Warren stepped it up with an interception, then later took it to the endzone from the 55 yard line for the third and final touchdown.

Senior's Seth Martin and Jordan Spurger are both waiting on clearance to play.

Starting Receiver Seth Martin had shoulder surgery in May and hopes to be cleared soon and Offensive Lineman Jordan Spurger hopes to be cleared by the end of the month.
