EDUCATION will be the theme of the Chandler Lions Club and the Greater Brownsboro/Chandler Chamber of Commerce parade. This event has become one of the largest in the county, bringing out hundreds of participants. The parade will take place OCTOBER 11, and we are asking all organizations involved in any phase of education to consider entering a float.

Themes should promote the importance of education throughout our entire lives. We are interested in education for youth, young adults, retirees, historical events, or any theme that has to do with knowledge. We are hopeful of having some historical displays depicting Henderson County development from its early settlement through today's bustling community.

If You See Lions at Brookshire's in Chandler, please consider purchasing a chance to win a five-day/fournight Caribbean cruise for two. The cruise can be taken between November 1 and January 31 from Galveston, with several choices of ports-of-call. Someone Will Win On October 7 when the drawing of the lucky person will be made. This fundraising effort supports our youth projects.

Help Chandler Lions in humanitarian efforts by participating in upcoming events, including a community garage sale, pancake suppers, spaghetti suppers, and other fundraising events this fall.

We truly appreciate the generosity of the entire community in our efforts to make lives a bit easier here at home and around the world. Plans are in progress for each of these events; Watch for Announcements!
