Services for David Edward Wilson, Jr., 60, of Tyler, Texas, were held Monday, August 18, 2008 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Chandler, Texas, with Mr. Reagan McClenny officiating.

Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tyler, with military honors, under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson passed away August 15, 2008, in a Tyler hospital. He was born August 24, 1947 in Tyler, Texas.

He was of Baptist faith, was a Veteran of the VietNam war, and retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona McCaffrey; a brother, Johnny Wilson; and a sister, Frankie McCaffrey.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Wilson of Tyler; sons, Lonnie Baker, Tyler, Michael Wilson, Kempner, and Wilford Van Note of Flint, Michigan, John Donlon of Lindale, and Danny Wilson of Campbell; daughters, Michelle Smith of Lindale, Angela Wilson and Doris Hughes, both of Dallas, Deborah Nichols of Honolulu, Hawaii, Tammy Donlon and Patsy Sutton, both of Flint, Michigan; brother, Danny Wilson of Campbell; sister, Tina Wilson of Campbell; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lonnie Baker, Michael Wilson, Chris Smith, Wilford Van Note, Chris Williams, and David Wilson.
