JUST ANOTHER DAY I just got home from a hard day's work, But I couldn't find a place to park. The yard was full of little kids, And they were having a lark. I asked "What in the world is going on?" My granddaughter said, "We're having a party, You can join in if you'll give me a gift." I replied "I already have, you little smarty." I hurried into the house and to my room; Quickly I closed and locked my door. Maybe now I will relax and get some rest. Looking out of my window I saw kids coming by the score. Some of them stopped to play softball, Others headed for the new swimming pool. I stayed in my room the rest of the day, Not wanting to go out and act like a fool. It wasn't long till I dozed off. When I awoke the kids were all gone. My granddaughter shouted "You missed all the fun, But you can help me clean up the lawn." by Thomas Howard BLESS THE MEMORIES When I am gone, release, let me go. I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part. So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on. So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All of my love around you, soft and clear. And when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home! I am with you always!! Submitted by Otis Rainwater
