Brownsboro F.U.M.C.
At long last, the summer is over and it's time for the kiddos to head back to school.
You know, the first day of school is always an exciting time. It's a time of new beginnings, a moment to catch up with old friends and meet new ones along the way. What a joy it is to begin another year afresh!
This week, as I reflect upon these new beginnings that are happening all around us, I can't help but think of the new, fresh, and exciting things that God is doing in our midst!
Pause for a moment and take a look at the new growth happening all around us ... the recent rain showers are making the flowers bloom and the grass grow ... the trickle of activity around town has become a steadily flowing stream, and smiles light up the faces of those who know that the `dog days' of summer are finally in the rearview mirror.
In Isaiah 43, God says "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" Indeed, God is doing a new thing ... the evidence of it is all around us!
This summer has been quite an exciting time for us here at First United Methodist Church-Brownsboro; we've seen God move in tremendous ways and there are signs of new life all around.
Sunday services are stronger and more vibrant than ever, our "Youth on the Rock" Bible study is shifting into high gear, and there's an electricity in the church you can feel as soon as you walk through the door!
Yes, God is doing a new thing and it's exciting to be a part.
If you're seeking a place to be and belong, we pray that you'll join us to see how God can open the door of your life to a fresh new experience of His love. Come celebrate with us Sundays at 11.
