Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Pollard Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Pollard Jr. of Chandler, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday with a dinner for the family in Tyler. The celebration continued at the couple's home and was hosted by their children.

Mr. Pollard married the former Edith Billie Greer on August 27, 1948 in Chandler, Texas. Mr. Pollard graduated from Sam Houston State University and is now retired from Texas Pecan Nursery. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of TPN which is a 67-year-old fam- ily business.

Mrs. Pollard began her career at Bell Telephone Co. and later worked as a teacher's aide at Chandler Elementary. She is now retired and is very active in their church. Mr. and Mrs. Pollard are members of Chandler First United Methodist Church.

Their children and their spouses are Sam and Anita Pollard of Chandler, and Jimmy and Lisa Pollard of Carrollton. The Pollards have five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
