The Athens Animal Shelter is beginning a campaign to raise the funds to purchase Light Commercial washer and dryer. Such a system would reduce the number of wash loads from 7 per day, 6 days week to only ONE per day.

This system is urgently needed and will cost approximately $10,000. Anyone wishing to make a tax deductible contribution designated for the washer/dryer fund may send checks to P.O. Box 162, Athens 75751, or call the Shelter (903) 677-7387 to make a credit card contribution. Contributors may also set up monthly draft contributions.

The goal is to raise the money within three months. With the support of the community, such a project is cer- tainly possible. Amounts raised towards the purchase of the washer and dryer will be reported every two weeks until the total is raised.
