The junior varsity Bears traveled to Frankston to take on the Indians in their second game of the season Thursday night, September 4, at the Indians Stadium.
Chris Stringer scored a 57-yard touchdown completion thrown by quarterback J.T. Cox. The two-point conversion was good. Deandrea Taylor then scored a touchdown and Bear Mayfield's two-point conversion was good.
Taylor had an outstanding night against the Indians. He scored five out of the six touchdowns for the Bears and Stringer scored the other.
I'm sure Frankston knows now not to let BearTaylor get a hold of the ball. If he does, he's more than likely going to take it to the endzone with no problem.
Bear Matthew Simpson showed incredible speed on the field Thursday evening. "He may be the fastest guy in the program," said Coach Settle.
On fourth and five, Taylor went for a 24-yard touchdown pass. Mayfield took it in the endzone for the twopoint conversion.
The final score for junior varsity Bears v. Indians was 42-30 Bears.
The Bears beat the Kemp Yellowjackets in their first away game of the season and now have the Indians defeated, for a current record of 2-0.
This Thursday, September 11, the junior varsity Bears will visit the Spring Hill Panthers, for their third game of the season, at 6 p.m.
