Imogene Featherston
Services for Imogene Featherston, 84, Brownsboro, were held Friday at Union Hill Baptist Church, Brownsboro, with Rev. Jon Parker officiating.
Burial followed in the Terrell Cemetery in the Rock Hill Community, under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Featherston died September 22, 2008 in Athens.
She was born April 30, 1924 in Brownsboro to the late William LaFarris and Emma Jean Teet Gunnels. She resided in Dallas 28 years and in 1978 retired to her native Brownsboro. She was member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
Those preceding her in death are her husband Vernon Featherston April 30, 2005; son, Bobby Lee Featherston; brother, Arthur Lee "Man" Gunnels; sisters, Eula V. Cotton, Willie Jo "Jack" Amos; and grandson, Vernon Featherston.
Survivors include sons, William Alexander Featherston, Rex Alan Featherston, both of Brownsboro; daughters, Verna Jean Mullenax, Tool, Shirley Ann Wiley, Brownsboro, Virginia Lou England, Las Vegas, Nevada; brother, A.C. Gunnels, Wills Point; sisters, Zeffie Mae Reep, Chandler, Betty Lou Meador, Payne Springs; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren.
